The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) is looking to add crypto assets to its list of tradable investments. The announcement comes amid a recent rise of interest in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in the Philippines.

Binance, one of the largest crypto exchanges globally by trade volume, is getting barked at by watchdogs from multiple nations.

Thailand’s securities regulator said on July 2nd, 2021 that it has filed a criminal complaint against Binance for operating a digital asset business without a license. The exchange has been under fire since May when Bloomberg reported that the exchange was being investigated by American authorities such as the Justice Department and IRS.

Binance, the largest crypto exchange in the world by trade volume, has been barred from doing business in Ontario, Canada.

The announcement follows publication of a Statement of Allegations on June 21, 2021 against Binance by the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC). Binance is alleged to have marketed unauthorized securities to Canadians and not registered with regulators. Binance chose not to appeal the decision, opting instead to pull its services out of Ontario.
