Coding Victories Make Me Unreasonably Happy
Amidst landing my business’ biggest client and getting featured by a top marketing publication, my biggest joy is some minor success with CSS.
Last night I didn’t feel quite up to starting on a whole new app… I think it was mostly just fear and intimidation, but let’s pretend that I reeeeally wanted to finish the first one, instead.
So that’s what I did. I spent about an hour fiddling with the HTML and CSS and now the app actually looks… well, it probably looks kind of lame. My color sense isn’t the best. But whatever. I’ll let you judge for yourself:
There it is, in all its marked up, functional, styled glory. Each button has its own array of themed quotations to pull from. I thought about adding a third array that would load secret quotes if the logo was clicked enough times in a row, but I didn’t end up bothering with that. After all this was just a small beginner project to get my feet wet.
I have bigger ambitions.
They’re not that big, but they’re… you know, modestly appropriate.
