I’m not saying that can’t work (it works very well for some people) but it’s just not very realistic when you’re getting started on the platform in my opinion. If I have 100K followers who hang on my every word, of course I’d post as often as possible. But if I have less than 100 followers, who’s really going to read my daily posts filling my own publication? Better to spend a week crafting something that has potential to get curated and go viral.

Aside from that, any decent content strategist these days will tell you that quality is more important than quantity, even if it is good to balance the two.

In any case, I tried the “post every day” method for 3 months because top writers told me to, and it got me nowhere. Then I switched to the type of strategy I’m actually trained to execute and (big surprise) it worked. It only took me a couple months to achieve both of my Medium related goals for the year.
