Is it weird that the people whose advice I find the most inspiring always seem to advocate consistent hard work? Maybe it’s because no matter how much gratitude I practice, I still feel surrounded by bad luck. The people with “sexier” pitches get drowned out by a voice in my mind that says that will never happen for you.

But I know I can write every day and work hard, and there’s evidence enough to indicate my writing is readable. Nothing really makes me happier than waking up knowing I have work to do and people to reach.
