Sending Messages to Myself
I’ve seen a smidgen with success sending messages from my Chrome extension to the browser, but it’s no better than a game of broken telephone.
Remember being a kid, connecting two cans with a piece of string and treating it like a telephone? I kind of feel like that’s what I’m doing with JavaScript right now. There’s so much power at my fingertips, and I’m just failing to grasp it. I must focus and find my inner coding chi.
The weather is getting more consistently cold, but it’s not bad enough to really bother me yet. I guess I’m just that Canadian. Even so, I have to remind myself to get outside for a walk every day. It’s too easy to spend my hours learning and working, sitting at a desk.
As the holidays approach I’m bound to feel my stress levels rise, but I think I can cut through it with a little comic relief now and again. I need to remember to put together custom Chrome extensions for some of my friends, and come up with other gifts for less technologically inclined people.
And I need to remember to keep the messages I send to myself positive.
